Seeking a nanny job *possibility of work permit support

Hello, my name is Nori.

I came to Vancouver in May 2025 as part of a Co-op study program. I have 11 and a half years of experience working as a childcare worker in Japan, and I also previously worked for a year and a half at a Japanese preschool in Vancouver. Most of my experience has been as a lead teacher in the preschool class, and for the past two years, I have also worked as an assistant director.

I came to Vancouver to transfer my childcare license, obtain an ECE certification, and work in a child-related field. I have already completed the transfer and obtained the ECE Basic certification in British Columbia.

The following explains why I am seeking an employer who can support a work visa:
The school I was attending lost its DLI status and was ordered to cease operations by the authorities, which meant I could no longer attend classes from October. Since I came to Canada on a Co-op study permit, both my student and work permits are no longer valid, and I cannot work. Therefore, changing schools is the only way for me to stay and work in Canada. However, if an employer is able to sponsor a work permit for me, I am able to work. I understand that it will take time to obtain the permit and that the employer will need to provide considerable assistance during the application process, but I am seeking a family who is willing to hire me with this understanding.

I am responsible, patient, and able to engage with children consistently. Although I do not have experience as a nanny, I believe my more than 10 years of childcare experience can be highly valuable in a nanny role. I am open to either live-in or live-out arrangements.
